Qualifications

• Strong expertise in metadata modeling and Cognos administration.
• Solid understanding of OLTP/OLAP systems and data modeling techniques including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Proficient in advanced SQL querying and troubleshooting.
• Experience in banking or financial services domain is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions using Cognos components: Report Studio, Framework Manager, Query Studio, and Cognos Connection.
• Build complex reports in Cognos 10/11 with drill-through, master-detail relationships, conditional formatting, report bursting, and macros.
• Enhance existing Framework Manager models by adding namespaces, query subjects, query items, and database tables per business needs.
• Perform metadata modeling, project creation, and package publishing on Cognos portal.
• Manage Cognos environment administration, including setting up data sources, report deployment across environments, and user access permissions.
• Analyze OLTP/OLAP systems and maintain Star and Snowflake schemas for performance-optimized reporting.
• Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries for performance tuning and data extraction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand banking domain requirements and deliver domain-specific reporting.
