Responsibilities

  • Lead HR operations and the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to separation.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and performance concerns professionally.
  • Oversee annual performance management and KPI alignment with managers.
  • Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and compliance practices.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
  • Support compensation, payroll interfaces, and benchmarking.
  • Provide HR analytics, dashboards, and strategic guidance to leadership.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented Senior HR Manager to lead the organisation's human resources function. The role will be responsible for managing HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policies, compliance, employee engagement, and organisational development.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to separation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, attendance, leave, and HR databases.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and SOPs.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient execution of day-to-day HR operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for various levels and functions.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand manpower requirements.
  • Prepare and update job descriptions and recruitment plans.
  • Source, screen, interview, and coordinate the selection of candidates.
  • Manage offer, joining, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
3. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
  • Handle employee grievances, conflicts, disciplinary matters, and performance concerns professionally and confidentially.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations into workplace complaints when required.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of employee-related matters.
  • Promote a professional, respectful, and positive workplace environment.
4. Performance Management
  • Manage the annual performance appraisal and review process.
  • Work with managers to establish KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Monitor performance review timelines and ensure timely completion.
  • Support managers in addressing performance-related concerns.
  • Develop and monitor performance improvement plans where required.
5. Employee Engagement & Retention
  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Identify employee training and development requirements, plan training programmes and workshops.
  • Conduct employee feedback and engagement activities.
  • Identify workplace concerns and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Support the development of a positive and productive organizational culture.
6. HR Policies & Compliance
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies in line with organizational requirements and applicable laws.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment and labour regulations.
  • Maintain proper HR documentation and records.
  • Coordinate with external consultants or legal advisors on HR-related matters when required.
7. Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
  • Coordinate with the payroll/accounts team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review attendance, leave, incentives, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
  • Support salary reviews, increments, promotions, and compensation benchmarking.
8. HR Reporting, Analytics & Management Support
  • Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards for senior management.
  • Track key HR metrics including headcount, recruitment, attrition, absenteeism, attendance, and employee engagement.
  • Analyse HR data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
  • Partner with senior management and department heads on people-related matters.
  • Support manpower planning, organisational restructuring, and HR policy development.
  • Take ownership of HR projects and strategic initiatives assigned by management.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely maintenance of employee information.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5-8 years of relevant HR experience; MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
  • Strong experience in HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and compliance.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and people-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS/HR technology.
