Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior HCL Commerce expert in India to design and implement multi-tier B2B commerce solutions. You will work on WCS storefronts, Java/Spring Boot services, and Next.js/React storefront tasks within an Agile team, ensuring high-quality, scalable deliveries.

The role emphasizes experience with HCL Commerce/WCS 8.x, REST/SOAP services, and modern web technologies, with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and platforms.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of IT experience.
• 5+ years working with HCL Commerce and/or IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS) 8.x.
• 5+ years Java development and OOD on large IT systems; J2EE on WebSphere strongly preferred.
• 3+ years with Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, including REST APIs and service integration.
• 5+ years working with REST and SOAP web services.
• 5+ years using Git; SVN/CVS acceptable.
• 3+ years with JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Next.js/React; TypeScript preferred.
• Experience delivering in Agile environments using Jira, Bitbucket/Git, and Confluence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Nice to have experience with B2B commerce, punchout, or headless/composable patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and design application components for WCS storefront and business logic, Java/Spring Boot services, and Next.js/React storefront tasks.
• Assist with integration testing, data conversion, and cut-over tasks.
• Architect and build multi-tier commerce applications for B2B needs, including punchout channels.
• Develop and evaluate designs for reusability, performance, and best practices across Commerce and REST/SOAP services.
• Manage storefront pages, store data, and back-end integration with WebSphere/HCL Commerce tools.
• Work on Next.js/React storefront features and ensure consistency between migrated journeys.
• Run unit tests prior to QA handoff and troubleshoot defects across WCS, Spring Boot, and Next.js.
