Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HCL Commerce Developer with deep expertise in HCL Commerce (formerly IBM WebSphere Commerce) to lead the design, development, migration, and deployment of scalable e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise commerce architecture, hands-on experience with HCL Commerce V9 or later, and a proven track record of delivering complex digital commerce projects and migrating from earlier versions of WCS.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance solutions on the HCL Commerce platform.
Customize and extend out-of-the-box functionality in HCL Commerce using Java, Spring, REST APIs, and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, business analysts, QA, and DevOps to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Integrate HCL Commerce with third-party systems such as payment gateways, PIM, CRM, ERP, and analytics tools.
Optimize application performance, ensure secure coding practices, and follow best practices for code maintainability.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
Contribute to DevOps automation for builds, deployments, and monitoring of e-commerce applications.
Stay up to date with HCL Commerce upgrades, patches, and emerging trends in digital commerce.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in e-commerce development with at least 3+ years in HCL Commerce.
Expertise in HCL Commerce V9 (Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices-based architecture).
Strong proficiency in Java, JSP, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs.
Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, or MySQL).
Experience with headless commerce, storefront customization, and API-first development is a plus.
Experience in WCS Sites Migrations From Version 8 to Version 9.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
