Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Verification, Validation & Reliability Engineer with expertise in automotive motor control electronics. The role covers Design Verification (DV), Product Validation (PV), reliability engineering, accelerated life testing, failure analysis, lifetime prediction, qualification testing, external laboratory coordination, and production launch (SOP). Candidates should have successfully delivered at least two automotive production programs involving motor control ECUs or power electronics.
Key Responsibilities
Design Verification & Product Validation
Develop DVP, DVP&R, PVP, verification strategies, traceability matrix and qualification plans.
Execute functional, environmental, mechanical and reliability validation.
Verify against system requirements, DFMEA, safety goals and customer specifications.
Hardware Verification
Validate BLDC/PMSM motor controllers, inverter/power stage, gate drivers, DC-DC converters, sensing circuits, LIN/CAN interfaces, Hall/Resolver/Encoder interfaces and mixed-signal electronics.
Reliability Engineering
Perform MTTF, MTBF, FIT and Lambda prediction.
Conduct mission profile analysis, derating, stress-strength analysis and lifetime prediction.
Apply Weibull, Arrhenius and Coffin-Manson models.
Evaluate MOSFET, capacitor, PCB, solder joint and connector reliability.
Reliability & Environmental Qualification
HTOL, HALT, HASS, Burn-in, Endurance, Temperature Cycling, Thermal Shock, Humidity/HAST, Power Cycling, Load Cycling, Vibration, Mechanical Shock, Salt Fog, DMT and Mission Profile Validation.
Thermal characterization, thermal mapping, junction temperature measurement and IR thermal imaging.
EMC & Regulatory Qualification
Support CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637, IEC 61000, LV124/LV148 and OEM-specific validation.
External Laboratory Coordination
Coordinate NABL/ISO17025/OEM-approved labs.
Prepare test requests and witness qualification testing.
Review reports, manage schedules, samples, budgets and support customer qualification.
Failure Analysis
Perform RCA, CAPA, board-level debugging and update DFMEA based on validation findings.
Mandatory Experience
5–12 years in automotive hardware verification and reliability.
Successfully launched at least two automotive production (SOP) programs.
Experience with DV, PV, PPAP, production readiness and external lab coordination.
