Job summary

WELTEC Institute in India is seeking Senior Go Backend Developers to join our engineering team. You will build scalable backend services in Go and design robust REST APIs.

You will work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and a microservices architecture, participate in architecture decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proactive, independent, and strong communication are valued; experience with AI-assisted tools like Copilot or Claude is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for experienced Senior Go Backend Developers to join the engineering team.

We are looking for strong, hands-on backend engineers with solid experience in building scalable applications and services using Go (Golang).

The ideal candidate should be capable of taking ownership of their work, solving complex technical problems, making sound technical decisions, and collaborating effectively with team members.

One of the three positions will have a Lead-level responsibility, working closely with the Team Lead based in the United States. Therefore, strong communication skills, technical ownership, and the ability to work independently are especially important.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Go (Golang).
• Build and maintain robust REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Implement and optimize Redis and caching mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain services within a microservices architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Git and Docker.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, and software engineering best practices.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
