Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in India seeks a Senior General Ledger & Payroll Accounting Professional to manage month-end close, perform US GAAP/IFRS accounting, and support payroll-related GL transitions. You will collaborate with global stakeholders and document processes for SOX controls.

You should have a degree in accounting/finance, 4–6 years of experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Excel; knowledge of SAP or Oracle ERP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-6 years relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting and financial processes.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the transition of payroll-related General Ledger activities from the GL team to the Payroll team, working closely with senior accountants.
• Take ownership of month-end closing activities and assigned accounting processes.
• Perform US GAAP accounting, reporting, financial analysis, and fulfill ad hoc information requests.
• Prepare General Ledger account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Diligently Execute and document SOX controls.
• Assist internal and external audit activities while building and maintaining robust process documentation.
