This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Functional Leader, Enterprise Data Management based in India.

This is a senior enterprise data governance role focused on creating consistent, controlled, and scalable system behavior across complex business platforms.
You will shape how metadata, workflows, automation, and AI-driven processes are governed throughout their lifecycle.
The role combines data management, business process governance, systems transformation, and emerging AI capabilities.
You will lead major data conversion and migration initiatives, partnering with regional and technology teams to protect data quality and business continuity.
A key part of the position is ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
You will also help govern AI agents and optimize their performance against defined business outcomes and guardrails.

Accountabilities

• Define and govern metadata structures across workflows, automation, and AI-enabled processes, establishing standards for configuration design, reuse, and lifecycle management across Salesforce and integrated platforms.

• Lead end-to-end data conversion and migration as a business function, partnering with regional teams on data assessment, profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and object mapping from legacy platforms to Salesforce and downstream systems.

• Own governance for system configuration changes, including intake, prioritization, impact assessment, release management, and evaluation of downstream effects before deployment.

• Establish robust auditability and traceability for metadata and configuration changes, ensuring systems clearly document what changed, when, why, and by whom.

• Govern AI agents and agentic workflows to ensure predictable, explainable, and business-aligned behavior, while monitoring adoption, accuracy, outcomes, and performance against established KPIs and guardrails.

• Provide governance over data conversion activities to ensure data models, metadata structures, configuration, and transformation logic remain consistent, controlled, and scalable.

• Partner with IT and platform teams on transformation initiatives, acting as a governance counterpart to ensure system design and configuration decisions support enterprise standards and long-term maintainability.

• Drive consistency across Salesforce, ERP, and integrated platforms, reducing fragmentation and preventing uncontrolled customization.

• Partner with data, analytics, and business teams to preserve reporting and KPI continuity during major system transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

• 7+ additional years of experience in cross-functional operations supporting IT projects, with significant exposure to data conversion and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Proven experience leading MDM and data conversion initiatives for large-scale ERP or Salesforce transformations.

• Strong functional understanding of key data domains such as customer, intercompany, and vendor data.

• Experience partnering with Data Lake, analytics, or reporting teams to maintain data quality and KPI continuity during system transformations.

• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata management, configuration governance, data migration, and system lifecycle management.

• Ability to assess complex relationships between data, business processes, and technology and translate them into practical governance approaches.

• Demonstrated ability to identify value-driven AI use cases within Salesforce and enterprise environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work effectively across business, technology, data, and regional teams in a complex enterprise environment.

• Strong understanding of auditability, traceability, compliance, and controlled change management.

• A strategic and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to balance governance requirements with business agility and operational needs.
