Job summary

IBM India Private Limited seeks a Senior Full Stack Performance Analyst to drive performance engineering across Power System stack, including Power Processor, Hypervisor and OS. You will identify bottlenecks and propose tuning to enhance PowerVM performance and Oracle database tuning.

You will collaborate with chip design, firmware, hypervisor and OS teams to implement design changes and optimize performance across IBM Power and x86 workloads, including client performance issues in a hybrid work

Qualifications

13-18 years of overall IT experience.
6+ years of experience as a System Performance Analyst.
5+ Experience with Oracle database performance analysis and tuning.
Excellent understanding of Operating System concepts.
Knowledge & Experience in using Performance Monitoring Tools like vmstat, netstat, iostat, nmon, topas, top etc
Knowledge & Experience in C/C++ programming
Good understanding of Hypervisor & Virtualization concepts
Good understanding of Virtual IO concepts
Good understanding of System Architecture
Knowledge of Compilers
Knowledge of Assembly Programming

Responsibilities

Drive Study of workloads characteristics on IBM Power and x86 and provide recommendations
Execute/Measure performance of various PowerVM (Hypervisor) functions & features
Use various performance tools to analyze performance & identify bottlenecks / opportunities for improving PowerVM (Hypervisor) stack/functions performance
Provide tuning & performance optimizations suggestion to improve performance

Job description

As a Senior Full Stack Performance Analyst you will drive performance engineering across different layers of the Power System stack starting from the Power Processor, Power Hypervisor and Operating System (AIX & Linux). You will identify performance bottleneck and suggest design changes/tuneable/optimizations to improve performance and design of the next generation Power Processor and systems. Performance analysis of Oracle Database and fine tuning. You will collaborate with teams across the stack including Chip design, Firmware, Hypervisor and Operating System to drive design tuning & optimization to improve performance.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Full Stack Performance Analyst your responsibilities would be
