McKinsey & Company in Gurgaon is seeking a technically strong software engineer for the PFIC team, focusing on core enterprise products and cloud-based solutions in financial services. You will spend most of your time coding, while contributing to architecture, data models, and DevOps practices.

When you join us, you will have:
You will work in McKinsey’s CCN within Panorama Financial Institutions Center (PFIC) with responsibilities that range from developing and implementing our core enterprise products to ensuring that McKinsey’s craft stays on the leading edge of technology.
You will be involved in leading software development projects in a hands‑on manner. You will spend about 70% of your time writing and reviewing code and creating software designs. You will spend the remaining time on database design, core middle tier modules, performance tuning, containerized applications, cloud technologies, DevOps and continuous delivery domains over time.
You will be an active learner, tinkering with new open‑source libraries, using unfamiliar technologies without supervision and learning frameworks and approaches. You will have a strong understanding of key agile engineering practices to guide teams on improvement opportunities in their engineering practices. You will provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the developers to improve our organizational capability.
You will be based in our Gurgaon office as part of the PFIC team. PFIC is one of the largest Knowledge and Expert consulting capabilities globally and part of the FIG practice, with 230+ members and a global footprint across 20+ locations in APAC, Americas and Europe, focusing on financial services domains, e.g., Retail banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance.
