About the Role

The Senior Front-End Engineer will take end-to-end ownership of features and solutions across Deltatre's Engineering & Technology function, spanning its DIGITAL Solutions and OTT Solutions platforms. The role works across web and mobile applications, contributing to component systems, performance standards, and delivery pipelines that underpin clients' products. It is a hands-on engineering position for someone who cares about quality, takes ownership, and is comfortable in a cross-functional environment. Two tracks are available, with distinctions in depth of experience, scope of contribution, and degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features and solutions across the platform.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality front-end experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Lead on solution and feature design, bringing well-reasoned technical proposals and seeing them through to delivery.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers through code review, pairing, and day-to-day guidance to build capability across the team.
• Contribute to and evolve the shared component library and design system, focusing on consistency, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
• Set a high bar for front-end performance by profiling, measuring, and improving rendering, load times, and analytics instrumentation.
• Collaborate with back-end engineers, QA, and product to define robust, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and front-end tooling, improving build reliability and developer experience.
• Stay current with the front-end ecosystem and bring emerging patterns and practice into the team.
• Contribute actively to how the team works, including shaping technical decisions and helping establish standards.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• OTT Solutions: deep proficiency in React, including cross-platform delivery.
• OTT Solutions: proven track record shipping apps across multiple targets: web, mobile (iOS/Android) and/or connected TV.
• DIGITAL Solutions: deep proficiency in React and NextJS, including cross-platform delivery.
• DIGITAL Solutions: proven track record shipping apps across multiple targets: web, mobile (iOS/Android).
• Solid command of HTML and CSS/SCSS, including responsive and adaptive layouts, flexbox, and grid.
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Deep understanding of front-end performance, including measurement, optimisation, and analytics integration.
• Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
• Comfortable working within CI/CD pipelines and modern front-end tooling.
• Demonstrated testing approach, with experience using modern front-end testing frameworks and a test-first mindset.
• Clear communication skills, able to articulate technical decisions to peers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• OTT Solutions: experience in the streaming or media industry, including VOD, live events, player integrations, or DRM.
• OTT Solutions: hands-on 10-foot development experience across Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Apple TV, or Android TV / Fire TV.
• OTT and DIGITAL Solutions: familiarity with client-side data event instrumentation.
• OTT and DIGITAL Solutions: knowledge of Node.js, AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront), or back-end concepts.
• OTT and DIGITAL Solutions: curiosity about the full stack and how front-end decisions interact with broader system design.

Workplace

• Hybrid basis with at least 2 days per week working in the Mumbai office.
