Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of professional software development experience with strong Full Stack expertise.
• Extensive experience building large-scale applications using React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong hands‑on experience developing backend services using Node.js; understanding of Micro Frontend Architecture.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services, including Serverless architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and API design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud deployments.
• Solid understanding of application performance optimization, caching strategies, and frontend performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, and package management.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies including Unit, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with observability/monitoring tools like New Relic, Grafana, Datadog.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Development Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills. You will lead a team of talented engineers, own the design and delivery of highly scalable frontend and backend services, drive engineering excellence, and influence the technical direction of DAZN's consumer platform.

As a technical leader, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and other engineering teams to deliver innovative experiences for millions of sports fans worldwide.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
