Job summary

Resonate CX in Kochi, India, is expanding its Finance team and seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to own FP&A, reporting, and SaaS metrics. You will build financial models, run budget vs actuals analysis, and translate data into insights for the CEO and Board.

This end-to-end finance role offers full ownership from strategic modelling to operations, with exposure to senior leadership and direct impact on business decisions. You will work with Xero, Planhat, and EH systems and drive automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A, financial analysis, or management reporting.
• Advanced Excel; financial models built from scratch; pivot tables & INDEX-MATCH.
• Hands-on budget vs actuals and variance analysis with leadership commentary.
• Comfortable owning a function independently in a small/lean team with senior leadership exposure.
• Based in Kochi/Ernakulam, or willing to relocate.
• Clear written English for regular communication with Sydney leadership.
• SaaS industry experience — MRR/NRR/GRR or churn.
• CA / CMA / ACCA (finalist or completed).
• Power BI — dashboard development (not just consumption).
• Xero experience.
• Experience reporting to overseas stakeholders (CFO, Board).
• Uses AI tools in day-to-day finance work.

Responsibilities

• MRR & SaaS metrics ownership and monthly review of movements in Planhat.
• Month-end close calendar management; deliver P&L analysis & reports.
• Budget vs actuals analysis with variance commentary for leadership.
• Deep-dive cost analysis by department to identify savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain Excel models for rolling forecasts & KPI tracking.
• Own sales commission and CSM bonus models end-to-end.
• Maintain quarterly Rocks tracker and strategic planning sheets.
• Cross-system reconciliation across Xero, Planhat, EH, and commission models.
• Headcount cost, leave trends and hiring pipeline analysis for People & Culture.
• Support Board with quarterly Pack preparation and leadership analyses.
• Drive AI-assisted automation and workflow improvements across Finance.

The Opportunity

We're expanding our Finance team in Kochi and looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to own our FP&A, management reporting, and SaaS metrics function. This is a strategic, high-visibility role, you'll build financial models, drive budget vs actuals analysis, and translate data into insight for the CEO and Board.

This is a rare end-to-end finance seat. As a scale‑up, we give this role the full picture, you'll be cross‑trained across every part of our finance function, from strategic modelling to the operational engine that produces the numbers you're analysing. FP&A roles keep you one step removed from the source data; this one puts you close enough to understand the business inside out, which is exactly the kind of range that gets noticed at the CFO level. If you want a role where you're only ever reviewing other people's work, this isn't it, if you want full-stack ownership of a company's finance function with real visibility at Board level, it is.

What You'll Do

FP&A & Reporting (core focus)

• MRR & SaaS metrics own the monthly review of MRR movements (new, expansion, contraction, churn) in Planhat; verify related invoicing is accurate; surface trends and anomalies to the Finance Manager and CEO
• Management reporting own the monthly close calendar; deliver P&L analysis and management reports to leadership every month
• Budget vs actuals lead monthly BvA analysis across departments, including variance commentary for the CEO and department heads
• Cost analysis — run deep‑dive cost analysis by department and category; identify savings opportunities and flag material movements
• Financial modelling — build and maintain Excel models for rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking
• Commission & bonus modelling — own the sales commission and CSM bonus models end‑to‑end, including monthly payout reporting
• Strategic tracking — maintain the quarterly Rocks tracker and strategic planning sheets ahead of leadership reviews
• Cross‑system reconciliation — reconcile figures across Xero, Planhat, EH, and commission models to keep reporting consistent
• P&C data analysis — prepare headcount cost, leave trend, contractor spend, and hiring pipeline analysis for People & Culture, with actionable recommendations
• Board support — contribute to quarterly Board Pack preparation and ad hoc leadership analysis
• Process improvement — identify and drive AI‑assisted automation and workflow improvements across Finance

Operational Ownership

The below will be in scope on need basis,

• Xero invoicing, AR follow‑up, and Debtor Days management
• Xero bookkeeping review & adjust, bank reconciliation, and month‑end GL journals
• CSM commission calculations and sales commission reconciliation
• Customer contract preparation and contract tracker maintenance
• EH system employee record updates (leave, expenses, staff changes)

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• 5+ years in FP&A, financial analysis, or management reporting, not audit, tax, or pure AP/AR
• Advanced Excel, financial models built from scratch; pivot tables, dynamic formulas, INDEX-MATCH
• Hands‑on budget vs actuals and variance analysis experience, including writing commentary for leadership, not just running numbers
• Comfortable owning a function independently in a small/lean team, with direct exposure to senior leadership
• Based in Kochi/Ernakulam, or committed to relocating
