Linkwell Telesystems Pvt Ltd - VISIONTEK is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer for Smart Energy Meter projects. You will develop firmware for embedded systems, implement DLMS/COSEM, and handle multi‑radio interfaces.

The role requires deep MCU/Peripherals experience and strong protocol knowledge. Responsibilities include mapping OBIS data, integrating CAT-M1/NB-IoT and other wireless technologies, and ensuring robust TCP/IP networking in firmware.

Qualificações

• Firmware development for embedded systems.

• Implementation of DLMS/COSEM protocol stack across layers.

• Handling UART/SPI/I2C/USB interfaces and related peripherals.
• TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP/HTTP/HTTPS networking in firmware.
• FOTA, RTOS development, and debugging capabilities.
• Documentation and compliance (CMMI/ISO).
• Experience with hardware test tools such as oscilloscope and multimeter.

Responsabilidades

• Develop firmware for embedded systems, including coding, debugging and maintenance.
• Work with microcontrollers and related peripherals in designs.
• Implement full DLMS/COSEM protocol stack within meter firmware.
• Map meter functionalities to standardized OBIS codes.
• Integrate cellular and RF modules (CAT-M1/NB-IoT, 4G/5G, LoRa, BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi).
• Manage interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, USB in hardware and firmware.
• Develop and maintain communication protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP/HTTP/HTTPS).

Position: Embedded Firmware Engineer – Smart Energy Meter.

Experience: 5–10 Years

Reporting to: Team Lead – R&D (Firmware).

Job Responsibilities:

• Candidate will be responsible for developing Firmwarefor Embedded systems,also includes writing code, debugging and maintenance.
• Hands on experience in microcontrollers based designs Domain Knowledge.
• Implementationof user requirements.
• Implementing the full DLMS/COSEM protocol stack (Physical layer to Application layer) within the meter's firmware to handle communication procedures.
• Mapping all meter functionalities and data items (e.g., instantaneous values, load profiles, events, billing parameters) to the standardized COSEM interface classes and unique OBIS (Object Identification System) codes.
• Integrate and manage cellular & RF communication modules: CAT-M1 / NB-IoT, 4G / 5G, LoRa / LoRaWAN, BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi
• Handle UART / SPI / I2C / USB interfaces.
• Implement and maintain communication protocols, DLMS/COSEM (mandatory for smart meters), TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT / MQTT‑SN, CoAP / HTTP / HTTPS

Desired Functional Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong experience in controller-based designs with proficiency in C and Assembly, and hands‑on work with peripherals like ADC, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Expertise in wireless technologies including 4G/5G, NB‑IoT, BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, LoRa/LoRaWAN, and IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and TCP/IP.
• Experience in FOTA implementation, RTOS development, and strong debugging and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of user requirements, project lifecycle management, and compliance documentation (CMMI/ISO).
• Hands‑on experience with hardware testing tools like Oscilloscope, Multimeter, LCR meter, Function Generator, and soldering tools.
