Job summary

Esyasoft is seeking an experienced Embedded/Firmware Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance firmware for next-generation smart metering solutions in Howrah, India. You will work on 3-phase metering, metrology calibration, and DLMS/COSEM protocol integration.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years in embedded C/C++ with hands-on hardware interfacing, testing, and calibration. This role focuses on reliability, performance, and secure tamper detection within a hardware-centric product

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of embedded C/C++ firmware experience.
• Experience with electricity metering industry (3-phase meters).
• Deep knowledge of the DLMS/COSEM protocol stack.
• Strong metrology processing, power management, and tamper handling.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware debuggers (JTAG/SWD).

Responsibilities

• Firmware design, test, and debug low-level embedded software on microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, TI, Renesas).
• Implement and calibrate metrology algorithms for accuracy in 1Ph and 3-phase energy measurement.
• Integrate and maintain DLMS/COSEM communication protocols and smart grid standards.
• Design firmware logic for tamper detection, anti-theft mechanisms, and event logging.
• Write drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, RTC, and external flash memories.
• Contribute to new feature design and implementation; participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and system integration.
