AjnaLens is looking for an Audio DSP Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. This is a high-impact role for an experienced audio engineering professional who will work on real-time audio systems for next-generation smart glasses, wearables, and consumer electronics.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Audio DSP and Embedded Audio, with strong expertise in digital signal processing, multi‑microphone systems, acoustic tuning, and real‑time audio algorithm implementation.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize real‑time Audio DSP algorithms for embedded platforms, including AEC, ANC, Noise Reduction/ENC, Beamforming, AGC, VAD, EQ, and Speech Enhancement.
- Design and tune multi‑microphone audio pipelines for voice calls, recording, ASR, and media applications.
- Optimize and debug audio systems for latency, CPU/MIPS, memory, power consumption, audio quality, and production reliability.
Minimum Work Experience Required
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Audio DSP / Embedded Audio development.
- Strong experience developing real‑time audio solutions for consumer electronics, wearables, hearables, headphones, smart speakers, AR/VR devices, or similar products.
- Experience implementing DSP algorithms on embedded MCU/DSP/SoC platforms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Top 5 Skills You Should Possess
- Strong knowledge of DSP fundamentals, including FFT/DFT, FIR/IIR filters, adaptive filtering, sampling, resampling, and time/frequency-domain processing.
- Strong programming expertise in C/C++ for real‑time embedded audio systems.
- Hands‑on experience with AEC, ANC, Beamforming, Noise Suppression, AGC, VAD, or Speech Enhancement.
- Strong understanding of microphones, speakers, ADC/DAC, amplifiers, audio buffering, synchronization, and latency.
- Experience with RTOS, DMA, interrupts, and real‑time embedded system development.
Leadership & Strategic Capabilities
- Ability to independently own audio DSP features from algorithm development through tuning, validation, and production deployment.
- Strong debugging and root‑cause‑analysis capabilities across firmware, DSP, hardware, and acoustic systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with hardware, firmware, mechanical, acoustics, AI/ML, and product teams.
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
Bonus Points For
- Direct experience building smart glasses, TWS earbuds, hearables, headphones, AR/VR, or wearable products.
- Experience with Qualcomm, BES, MediaTek, Cadence/Tensilica HiFi, CEVA, TI, NXP, or similar audio platforms.
- Experience with Bluetooth Classic and LE Audio.
- Exposure to wake‑word detection and ASR front‑end processing.
- Experience with MEMS microphone characterization and multi‑microphone tuning.

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
