Job summary

Hubbell seeks an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for embedded products. You will drive end-to-end firmware from architecture to validation, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to new product features.

The role focuses on embedded C/C++ development, RTOS and Linux environments, and advanced debugging with JTAG, GDB, and trace tools, ensuring robust, scalable firmware across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 9+ years of hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
• Proficient in C and C++.
• Experience with RTOS and Embedded Linux.
• Skilled in debugging with JTAG, GDB, trace analysis, kernel debugging, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller and processor-based systems.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into firmware architecture and design.
• Develop device drivers, middleware, bootloaders, BSPs, and application firmware.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation activities.
• Perform firmware integration, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Involve in New Product/New feature firmware development
• Document software-based designs and algorithms for both developers and customers
• Create, develop and evaluate technical documentation for the existing and new projects
