Job summary

Sasken Technologies Limited in Ahmedabad is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead hands-on firmware development for cellular and Wi-Fi IoT products. You will own modules such as modem integration, power management, OTA, and system debugging, delivering production-grade firmware for field deployments.

You will design firmware on RTOS or bare-metal platforms, implement modular components, and participate in architecture reviews.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on firmware experience in LTE/NB-IoT and Wi-Fi IoT devices.
• Proficient in RTOS / bare-metal firmware development.
• Experience with power management and OTA update mechanisms.
• Strong debugging and system integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware on RTOS / bare-metal platforms.
• Implement modular firmware components aligned with system architecture.
• Participate in firmware architecture and design reviews.
• Integrate cellular modules (Quectel / u-blox or similar) and Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Handle power management, OTA, and recovery flows.
• Address coexistence between Wi-Fi and cellular.

Job Title: Senior Firmware Engineer Cellular & Wi-Fi IoT Experience: 5-8 Years Domain: LTE / NB-IoT / Wi-Fi | Low-Power IoT Location: Ahmedabad

Role Summary We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cellular and Wi-Fi based IoT products. The role focuses on firmware development, connectivity integration, and aggressive battery optimization for production-grade devices. You will work on real field-deployed products, owning firmware modules such as cellular modem integration, Wi-Fi connectivity, power management, OTA, and system debugging.

• Design and develop embedded firmware on RTOS / bare-metal platforms.
• Implement modular firmware components aligned with system architecture.
• Participate in firmware architecture and design reviews.
• Integrate and maintain firmware for:
  • Work with cellular modules (Quectel / u-blox or similar):
    • AT command handling
    • Network attach / detach logic
    • Reconnect and recovery flows
    • Intermittent connectivity
    • SIM and registration failures
  • Minimal wake-up and transmit time Wi-Fi Firmware
  • Handle coexistence scenarios between Wi-Fi and Cellular.
