Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Finance or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • 2-3 years in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting or management reporting.
  • 4-5 years in accounting, controllership, financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting and controllership for global overhead cost centers.
  • Ensure timely month-end close with accruals, reclasses and intercompany charges.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting cycles.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights and dashboards to senior stakeholders.

Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Job Location: Chennai, India

We are seeking a proactive and commercially aware Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global FP&A team. The role is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of global overhead functions, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, financial analysis and controllership activities, with particular focus on C‑Suite and corporate function budgets. The successful candidate will partner with budget owners, finance colleagues and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, meaningful analysis and actionable insights. The role requires strong financial controllership, business understanding and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced global environment while continuously improving processes, controls and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting and controllership for global overhead cost centers, including CEO, Finance, HR, IT, Legal and other corporate functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, reclasses, allocations and intercompany charges.
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS, company policies and internal control requirements across assigned cost centers.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and estimate processes, maintaining visibility of expected financial outcomes and key business drivers throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages, executive summaries and financial commentary for FP&A leadership, CFO and senior stakeholders.
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities and unusual financial movements.
  • Partner with budget owners and functional leaders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions and support decision-making.
  • Support the development and governance of overhead allocation methodologies and cost allocation models.
  • Coordinate with regional finance, accounting and business stakeholders to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of financial information.
  • Support internal and external audits through robust documentation, controls and supporting analyses.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, automation and finance transformation initiatives, including reporting and analytics enhancements.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, business cases and presentations to support management decision-making.
Experience, Education and other Required
  • Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional finance qualification.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting or business performance analysis.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting, controllership, financial reporting or related finance functions.
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, month-end close processes, financial controls and management reporting.
  • Experience working in a multi-location and highly distributed business environment.
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders through financial analysis, reporting and decision support.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze, reconcile, model and interpret financial data.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with SAP S/4HANA (preferred), Oracle or other ERP platforms.
  • Experience working with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Hyperion or other planning and reporting solutions.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
