Job summary

Synamedia is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst with hands-on Anaplan experience to support planning, forecasting, and reporting. You will maintain and enhance Anaplan models, ensure data accuracy, and help stakeholders derive value from the platform.

In this role you will work with FP&A and business teams, lead governance and ALM for model changes, manage data loads from ERP systems, and drive automation to improve reporting, continuously delivering reliable insights to global finance

Qualifications

• 5–8 years FP&A, financial systems, or data analytics experience.
• Hands-on Anaplan modelling, administration and governance.
• ERP finance systems (NetSuite) and data validation expertise.

Responsibilities

About the Job

We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst with hands-on Anaplan experience to support our planning, forecasting and reporting processes. Working closely with FP&A and business stakeholders, you will maintain and enhance our Anaplan models, keep data accurate through each planning cycle, and help the team get more value from the platform.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance Anaplan models, modules, lists, dashboards and user access, working within agreed model design standards. Provide finance systems support across budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.
• Lead the implementation, development, and maintenance of Anaplan models, hierarchies, applications, integrations, and user administration.
• Follow Anaplan governance and change control (including ALM and release processes), and support testing and deployment of model enhancements.
• Run and monitor data loads into Anaplan from ERP and the data warehouse, and validate and reconcile model outputs to source systems.
• Gather requirements from FP&A users and translate them into model changes, escalating design decisions where needed.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, reduce manual processes, and improve financial systems and processes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with global teams to standardise reporting and share best practices.
• Support financial systems projects, ad-hoc analysis, and other strategic initiatives as required.
• Provide day-to-day Anaplan user support and training, and keep model documentation up to date.
• Support month-end, budget and forecast cycles, ensuring models are rolled forward and ready on time.

Skills Required

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial systems, financial reporting, or data analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Anaplan, including model building, administration, reporting, integrations, and governance. Anaplan Certified Model Builder (or working towards) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, P&L analysis, and financial planning.
• Experience with ERP Finance systems (NetSuite), data warehouses, system integrations, data validation, and UAT.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior Finance, IT, and business teams.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen; Finance education or professional accounting qualification is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work across global teams, and drive continuous improvement and automation.
