Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking a skilled Anaplan Model Builder for its transformation team within Finance. You will build multi-dimensional Anaplan models, translate business requirements into functional specs, and lead data integration, testing, and deployment efforts.

You will collaborate with Strategy and FP&A teams across time zones, delivering scalable planning solutions and comprehensive model documentation. A strong background in finance/IT, plus Anaplan certification, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Technology Information Systems or equivalent.
• 3+ years of FP&A or operations experience using Anaplan, or 3+ Anaplan implementations as Model Builder.
• Certified Anaplan Model Builder, level 2 or higher.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Snowflake is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with multi-dimensional or cube-based planning and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of business processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Model Builder SME for large-scale connected planning solutions.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and use cases.
• Convert existing solutions into sophisticated Anaplan models.
• Modify models as part of connected solutions and new functionality.
• Develop model documentation.
• Participate in data integration and migration solutions.
• Lead UAT testing and deployment efforts.
• Collaborate across functions with Strategy and FP&A teams on modelling and reporting best practices.
• Build and develop Anaplan modules and lists.
• Configure and maintain Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and settings.
• Monitor data flows to ensure data is up-to-date.
• Perform root cause analyses and propose solutions.
• Provide hands-on training to end users on Anaplan models.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Serving as the Model Builder SME for large-scale connected planning solutions.
• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
• Translating business requirements into functional requirements and use cases.
• Converting existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems into sophisticated Anaplan multi-dimensional models.
• Modifying existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality.
• Developing model documentation.
• Participating in data integration and migration solutions.
• Leading UAT testing and deployment efforts.
• Operating cross-functionally with some ambiguity, providing expertise to Strategy and FP&A teams on best practices for modelling and reporting.
• Building and developing Anaplan modules and lists based on model blueprints.
• Configuring and maintaining Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings to meet business needs.
• Monitoring data flows to and from source systems to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Performing root cause analyses and proposing solutions.
• Providing hands-on training to new end users on Anaplan models and documenting processes.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Technology Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in operations or FP&A leveraging Anaplan, or completion of 3+ Anaplan implementation projects as a Model Builder.
• Certified Anaplan Model Builder, level 2 or higher.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Snowflake and other integration tools is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with multi-dimensional or cube-based planning and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of business processes.
