Job summary

SCIEX in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mass spectrometry and HPLC systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, provide timely on-site service, and escalate complex cases to ensure rapid resolution.

The Senior Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:

• + Conducting service, repair and/or installation of Mass Spectrometry and HPLC instruments in accordance with service protocols.
• + Diagnosing system failures and determines most effective solution.
• + Escalating complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
• + Responding to customer support calls within the assigned territory.

This position reports to the Senior Service Manager, Bangalore and is part of the Field Technical Service located in Bangalore & will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• + Complete and successfully pass assigned training for relevant products and responsibilities.
• + Deliver high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance services for mass spectrometry instruments, including escalation support.
• + Manage critical service calls with a strong customer-centric approach.

The essential requirements of the job include

• + MSc or BE in Electronics or Instrumentation, with specialization in Analytical Instrumentation.
• + 10+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences or a related industry.
• + Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation service, particularly mass spectrometry & additional experience in HPLC

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• + Ability and willingness to travel, overnight /outstation calls with short notice, if required.
• + Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• + Complex Analytical instrumentation techniques
