Job summary

Orchestra Telecom Services in Bengaluru seeks an experienced software tester to lead non-functional, performance and protocol testing for PON system products (OLT, ONU/ONT, Network Management).

You will design tests, drive end-to-end scenarios, reproduce customer tickets, and deliver clear test reports with actionable RCAs and recommendations.

• Strong analytical skills with ability to design test strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead non-functional, performance, and protocol testing of PON system products (OLT, ONU/ONT, Network Management).
• Cover end-to-end scenarios and drive testing deliverables against project milestones.
• Analyze, design, and test integrated hardware/software systems per requirements.
• Execute project testing including regression, performance, and compatibility testing as needed.
• Submit and track bugs through resolution and closure and produce professional test reports.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test bed setups.
• Develop automation test frameworks and scripts using Python, Shell, and Robot Framework to improve coverage.
• Provide technical support and customer training when required.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead non-functional, performance, and protocol testing of PON system products (OLT, ONU/ONT, Network Management) for new Software and Hardware releases
• Cover end-to-end scenarios and drive testing deliverables against project milestones
• Analyze, design, and test integrated hardware/software systems, improvements, and bug fixes per customer and business requirements
• Execute project testing (non-functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing as required)
• Submit and track bugs through resolution and closure
• Produce clear, professional test reports to support quality assessment and release decisions
• Define and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test bed setups based on requirements and protocol specifications
• Execute regression, performance, and non-functional testing as required
• Reproduce and verify customer trouble tickets; submit, track, and drive bugs to closure
• Diagnose complex issues (hardware, software, or combined) and deliver RCA (Root Cause Analysis) or recommended corrective actions
• Produce professional test reports and maintain quality standards throughout the release cycle
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts using Python, Shell, and Robot Framework to improve coverage and efficiency
• Provide Technical support and customer training when required
