Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor - TPK in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Senior Fashion Designer – Bridal & Couture to lead design for women's Indian wear, including bridal and couture silhouettes from concept to final product. The role requires deep knowledge of embroidery, fabrics, and craftsmanship, with a focus on quality, fit, and on-time launches.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with sampling, production, merchandising, and marketing, and translate creative ideas into market-ready

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in women's Indian wear, bridal and couture.
• Diploma or Bachelor's in fashion design.
• Strong skills in silhouette development, garment construction, pattern making, and fit.
• Excellent embroidery knowledge and familiarity with Indian textiles.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office.
• Strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Excellent communication and project management.
• A portfolio showcasing women's Indian, bridal, couture wear.

Responsibilities

• Develop original designs for bridal, couture, and occasion wear.
• Conceptualize and execute seasonal and bridal collections in line with brand aesthetic and trends.
• Develop and refine silhouettes, patterns, garment construction, and fit from sketch to final product.
• Create embroidery and digital print designs, working with artisans and vendors.
• Collaborate with sampling, production, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution and timely launches.
• Select fabrics and materials while managing design-related budgets and costs.
• Maintain high standards of quality, craftsmanship, fit, and finishing.
• Conduct trend and market research to identify new design directions.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a creative, collaborative team environment.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fashion Designer – Bridal & Couture with strong expertise in women's Indian wear. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of bridal and couture design, silhouettes, garment construction, embroidery, fabrics, and craftsmanship, and be able to take designs from concept to final product.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original designs for bridal, couture, and occasion wear, including sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, sharara's, kurtas, and contemporary fusion wear.
• Conceptualize and execute seasonal and bridal collections in line with the brand aesthetic and current market trends.
• Develop and refine silhouettes, patterns, garment construction, and fit from initial sketch to final product.
• Create embroidery and digital print designs, working closely with artisans and vendors.
• Collaborate with sampling, production, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution and timely launches.
• Select fabrics and materials while managing design-related budgets and costs.
• Maintain high standards of quality, craftsmanship, fit, and finishing.
• Conduct trend and market research to identify new design directions and opportunities.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a creative, collaborative team environment.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in women's Indian wear, with strong experience in women bridal and couture.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Strong expertise in silhouette development, garment construction, pattern making, and fit.
• Good knowledge of embroidery techniques, digital prints and Indian textiles/fabrics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office.
• Strong fashion sketching and illustration skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creativity and expertise in womens Indian, bridal, and couture wear.
