Job summary

JLL Bangalore is seeking a Senior Executive Procurement / Assistant Manager Procurement to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. You will collaborate with multiple departments to meet procurement needs.

The role requires 5+ years of procurement experience, a degree in commerce or related field, and strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • A degree or professional certification in procurement is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices in procurement and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve issues.
  • Manage contract drafting, negotiation, and renewal for compliance and favorable terms.
  • Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Define and enforce quality standards for procured goods and services.
  • Identify risks in procurement processes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends and opportunities for innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations throughout procurement.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, budget utilization, and supplier performance.
  • Continuously streamline procurement processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

As a Procurement Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient operation of the procurement process within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services essential for our business operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and develop strategies to meet those needs efficiently.

  • Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for goods and services required by the organization.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Contract Management: Manage all aspects of contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and renewal, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement expenditure.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with stakeholders to define quality standards for procured goods and services and ensure that suppliers adhere to these standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to business operations.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and new technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the procurement process.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the procurement process.
