About this Role

We are seeking an Oracle BRM Billing Application Support Engineer to support critical billing operations and production services within the telecom BSS landscape. This role focuses on Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) application support, including incident resolution, bill-run activities, reconciliation, operational monitoring, service restoration, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to help ensure reliable, accurate, and efficient billing services while developing expertise in telecom billing systems, Oracle BRM technologies, automation, and AI-enabled operational practices.

What you will do

Provide operational support for Oracle BRM billing services covering rating, charging, invoicing, payments, collections, discounts, adjustments, and billing processes.
Monitor service health, investigate incidents, troubleshoot application issues, and support service restoration activities.
Coordinate billing cycles, perform pre-bill and post-bill validations, support invoice generation, and manage billing exceptions.
Monitor CDR and event processing, identify processing failures, and support reconciliation and recovery activities.
Investigate production issues involving BRM utilities, batch jobs, interfaces, queues, and database-related processes.
Participate in incident, problem, change, and service request management activities aligned with ITIL practices.
Collaborate with application, database, middleware, CRM, infrastructure, vendor, and business teams to maintain service stability.
Develop and improve operational automation using SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, APIs, and approved orchestration tools.
Support proactive monitoring, alert optimisation, dashboard maintenance, and operational reporting.
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, recovery procedures, audit records, and knowledge articles.

Who you are

Possess 1-3 years of experience in Telecom IT, BSS, Application Support, or related technology environments.
Have exposure to Oracle BRM, telecom billing platforms, or enterprise billing applications.
Understand telecom billing concepts including rating, charging, billing cycles, invoicing, payments, collections, and reconciliation processes.
Demonstrate working knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux environments for operational support and troubleshooting.
Have familiarity with incident management, service monitoring, production support processes, and ITIL practices.
Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Have exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
Show enthusiasm for learning telecom billing technologies, automation techniques, and AI/AIOps capabilities.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
