Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc in Pune seeks an experienced Oracle BRM Billing professional to own end-to-end operational management of Oracle BRM services. Qualifications

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle BRM Billing professional to take end-to-end operational ownership of Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) services. This role is focused on Application Operations and Service Management, ensuring the availability, stability, performance, resilience and continual improvement of business-critical telecom billing platforms. The successful candidate will lead major incident recovery, service transitions, operational readiness, automation initiatives, billing assurance activities and stakeholder engagement, while driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and AI-driven optimisation across billing operations. Based in Pune, this opportunity is ideal for an individual with deep telecom BSS expertise and extensive hands-on Oracle BRM production support experience.

What you will do

• Own the operational health, availability, resilience, performance and supportability of Oracle BRM billing services.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex billing, rating, invoicing, payment, adjustment, discount and collections issues.
• Govern business-critical billing calendars, bill runs, validation activities, reconciliations and exception management processes.
• Lead major incident recovery for priority incidents, coordinate cross-functional troubleshooting and communicate business impacts effectively.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, known error management and elimination of recurring service issues.
• Ensure adherence to SLA and KPI commitments across Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request processes.
• Lead service transition activities including due diligence, knowledge transfer, shadowing, operational readiness and service stabilisation.
• Oversee rating file processing, CDR pipeline health, billing execution, invoice generation, payment and collections flows.
• Drive reconciliation activities across CRM, mediation, BRM, invoicing and reporting systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Deliver automation solutions using Shell scripting and PL/SQL to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Build proactive observability capabilities through enterprise monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, Kibana and Datadog.
• Partner with business, infrastructure, middleware, database, CRM, mediation and vendor teams to deliver reliable services.
• Mentor support teams, strengthen knowledge management practices and support succession and cross-skilling initiatives.

Who you are

• Extensive Telecom IT or BSS experience with significant hands-on Oracle BRM production support expertise.
• Strong understanding of Oracle BRM architecture, administration and operational support.
• Deep domain knowledge of telecom billing, rating, charging, invoicing, payments, taxation, collections and revenue assurance.
• Proven experience managing critical billing operations and complex production incidents.
• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and AI-driven operational optimisation initiatives.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kibana, Splunk, Datadog or Zabbix.
• Familiarity with PDC, ECE, OCOMC, BI Publisher, WebLogic, Oracle databases and Control-M is advantageous.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, container technologies, Kubernetes and CI/CD practices is desirable.
• Experience leading service transitions, operational readiness and stabilisation activities.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and leadership capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. ITIL certification is desirable.
