Qualifications

• Pharma, nutraceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or nutrition industry experience preferred.
• Exposure to product commercialization and cross-functional project management is advantageous.

Job Purpose

Dr. Morepen is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Executive New Product Development (NPD) to support the development and commercialization of innovative pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and nutrition products. The incumbent will coordinate cross-functional activities from product ideation through commercialization, ensuring timely product launches while meeting regulatory, quality, commercial, and business requirements.

The role requires close collaboration with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Packaging Development, Marketing, Sales, and external vendors to successfully deliver new product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of new product development projects across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and nutrition categories.
• Track product development timelines and ensure adherence to project milestones.
• Support product ideation, feasibility assessment, and commercialization activities.
• Coordinate with R&D for formulation development, product trials, and validation activities.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure timely closure of development stages.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Packaging Development, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain for seamless project execution.
• Coordinate with external manufacturers, formulation partners, and packaging vendors.
• Follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

Packaging Development

• Coordinate development and approval of packaging materials including labels, cartons, inserts, bottles, jars, and promotional packs.
• Ensure packaging complies with regulatory and branding requirements.
• Coordinate artwork approval with internal and external stakeholders.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

• Support preparation of product documentation required for regulatory approvals.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs for label claims, product approvals, and statutory compliance.
• Ensure products comply with applicable pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food regulations.

Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with third-party manufacturers and suppliers for samples, quotations, technical documents, and commercial discussions.
• Track procurement timelines for packaging materials and product components.
• Ensure timely availability of development samples.

Product Launch Support

• Coordinate activities required for successful commercial launch of new products.
• Monitor launch readiness across manufacturing, packaging, inventory, and regulatory functions.
• Support development of launch documentation and product specifications.

Documentation & MIS

• Maintain NPD trackers, project plans, and development status reports.
• Prepare periodic MIS and progress updates for management review.
• Maintain product master data and development records.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor market trends, emerging product categories, and competitor launches.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for product innovation within Pharma and Nutrition portfolios.
• Support benchmarking exercises and category analysis.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
• MBA / PGDM in Marketing or Pharmaceutical Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 48 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), Product Management, Regulatory Coordination, or Project Coordination.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Healthcare, FMCG, or Nutrition industry is preferred.
• Exposure to product commercialization and cross-functional project management will be an advantage.
