- Define and drive the global innovation roadmap aligned with organizational growth strategy.
- Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, therapeutic/industry opportunities, and technological advancements.
- Build a robust short-term and long-term product pipeline across geographies.
- Lead portfolio prioritization based on market attractiveness, profitability, feasibility, and strategic fit.
New Product Development & Commercialization
- Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept generation to commercial launch.
- Ensure timely development and execution of new products within approved budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with regulatory, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams for successful product commercialization.
- Monitor stage-gate processes and ensure adherence to development milestones.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Global Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, and Operations teams.
- Drive alignment between business requirements and technical development capabilities.
- Lead cross-regional coordination to ensure consistency in product development practices.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Analyze global competition, customer insights, industry movements, and innovation trends.
- Evaluate white-space opportunities and develop differentiated product strategies.
- Drive customer-centric innovation initiatives based on market feedback and business intelligence.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance
- Ensure all new product initiatives comply with applicable global regulatory standards and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to support dossier preparation, approvals, and product registrations across markets.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor global NPD teams across regions and functions.
- Build high-performance innovation culture with strong focus on agility, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop succession pipeline and strengthen organizational capabilities in innovation management.
Stakeholder Management
- Present innovation pipeline, project progress, and strategic recommendations to leadership teams and board members.
- Engage with external partners, research institutions, vendors, and strategic collaborators for innovation partnerships.
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage NPD budgets, resource allocation, and project investment planning.
- Track ROI and commercial performance of newly launched products.
- Drive cost optimization and efficiency in product development processes.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy / Science / Engineering / Biotechnology / Healthcare / Relevant Discipline
- Masters degree preferred (MBA / M.Pharm / MS / PhD or equivalent)
Experience
- 1522 years of relevant experience in New Product Development, Innovation, R&D, or Product Strategy
- Strong exposure to global markets and cross-functional leadership
- Experience in managing large innovation portfolios and international product launches .
