Job summary

Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC in India seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to manage mechanical systems in API manufacturing. You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

You will review drawings and P&IDs, support installation, testing, qualification, and audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement in a regulated production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) B.Tech - Required
• Master Degree (MS/MA) M.Tech - Preferred
• 5 years or more in 5 - 8 Years
• Having 8 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field in Pharma API.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate and maintain mechanical systems and equipment
• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and failure analysis

The role is responsible for engineering operations across the organization with independent responsibility for mechanical systems, equipment, and production support infrastructure in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role ensures quality, safety, reliability, cost, timeliness, and performance standards are consistently met through effective operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of mechanical systems. It interprets engineering plans, drawings, layouts, and specifications, analyzes quality and safety test results, and ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards. The position supports technical, functional, cost, and schedule targets, contributes to validation and audit readiness, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated production environment.
