Qualifications

• B.Tech / M.Tech in relevant field required.
• 5–6 years' pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration, and CAPA.
• Familiarity with HVAC, Purified Water, DG sets, and electrical panels.
• Understanding GMP, SOPs, safety practices, and engineering documentation.
• Experience maintaining equipment logbooks and calibration records.
• Ability to analyze failures and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. To responsible for maintenance of plant, machinery, utilities, building and premises.

2. To ensure for online documentation, sops preparation, find gap analysis and update time to time.

3. To ensure to execute all engineering related activities with GEP (good engineering practices).

4. To maintain the history cards of plant equipments and plan predictive maintenance accordingly.

5. To listed out the machine wise spare inventory, consumables, maintaining and controlling the spares.

6. Co-ordination with concerned department heads for timely execution of engineering activities.

7. Monitoring/plan of preventive maintenance and building maintenance activity in the coordination of respective area HOD.

8. To providing technical guidance to the engineering team.

9. To coordinate engineering training as an engineering training coordinator.

10. Engineering control (the sequencing of jobs, updating time schedules).

11. Up-dation of facilities as per regulatory guidelines such as man, material, movement, HVAC system and utility etc.

12. To monitor suppliers of engineering related materials.

13. Approval of written procedures and other engineering related documents.

14. The monitoring of compliance with the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice.

15. Involvement in engineering related deviations, change control documentations, risk assessments and CAPA in consultation with quality assurance.

16. Support the external vendors for HVAC validations, instruments calibrations and qualification of all equipments.

17. Leading and monitoring the team for the appropriate accomplish the targets.

18. Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution.

19. Ensure that environmental, health and safety, engineering, quality standards and procedures are adhered to review the technological system that supports a more environmentally friendly approach.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate must have exposure in the pharmaceutical industry,
• Qualification: B.Tech /M.Tech
• Experience: 5 to 6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in formulation or external preparations facilities.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and calibration activities.
• Familiarity with utility systems such as HVAC, Air Compressors, Purified Water Systems, DG Sets, and Electrical Panels.
• Understanding of GMP, SOPs, safety practices, and engineering documentation.
• Experience in maintaining equipment logbooks, maintenance records, and calibration documentation.
• Ability to analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Knowledge of PLC-based machines, automation systems, and instrumentation is preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to minimize equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working with Production, QA, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency maintenance requirements when needed.
