Position Summary
The Senior Executive – AcademicOperations & Student Affairs plays a pivotal role in deliveringhigh-quality academic and student support services that enhance the overallstudent experience. This position is responsible for the effective coordinationof student services, academic administration, student engagement initiatives.
Working collaboratively with students,faculty, and administrative departments, the incumbent ensures seamlessoperational delivery, timely student support and continuous improvement ofstudent-facing processes. The role contributes significantly to studentsatisfaction, retention, progression, and engagement throughout the studentlifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support & Success
- Serveas a primary point of contact for student support matters, ensuring timelyand professional assistance.
- Coordinatereferrals and access to student wellbeing, counselling, disabilitysupport, and academic assistance services.
- Assistin managing student complaints, grievances, appeals, and resolutionprocesses in accordance with institutional policies.
- Contributeto programs and activities that promote student wellbeing, success, andengagement.
Academic & Student Administration
- Managestudent enquiries and provide accurate guidance on academic procedures,and administrative requirements.
- Maintainand update student information systems, databases, and records withaccuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepareofficial correspondence, student documentation, academic records, andadministrative reports.
- Ensurecompliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, andrecord-keeping standards.
Student Engagement & CampusExperience
- Coordinatestudent orientation, induction programs, workshops, and institutionalevents.
- Supportthe planning and delivery of student engagement initiatives, clubs,societies, and extracurricular activities.
- Promotestudent participation in academic, professional, cultural, andcommunity-based activities.
- Assistin developing initiatives that strengthen student belonging, inclusionand campus culture.
Reporting, Analytics & Compliance
- Prepareand maintain reports relating to student attendance, progression,retention, completion rates, and engagement metrics.
- Maintainaccurate departmental documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Assistin institutional audits, quality assurance reviews, accreditationactivities, and compliance requirements.
- Developand generate dashboards and management reports to support operational andstrategic objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement &Coordination
- Coordinatecommunication related to academic calendars, key deadlines, events, andstudent services.
- Liaisewith external service providers and support agencies where required.
- Supportcross-functional initiatives that contribute to institutional goals andstudent success outcomes.
- Identifyopportunities to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, andstudent experience.
- Participatein quality improvement initiatives and service excellence programs.
- Undertakespecial projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Headof Academic Operations & Student Affairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’sdegree in business administration, Education, Psychology, EventManagement, Sports Management, Student Affairs, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduatequalification and/or professional certification in Higher Education,Student Services, Counselling, Education Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum3–5 years of professional experience in student services, academicadministration, higher education operations, or a related environment.
- Demonstratedexperience in managing student-facing administrative processes andstakeholder interactions.
- Experiencesupporting student engagement, retention, wellbeing, and successinitiatives is highly desirable.
- Strongadministrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Provenability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strongcustomer service and student-centric orientation.
- Analyticalthinking with the ability to interpret data and prepare meaningfulreports.
This role is integral to fostering apositive, engaging, and supportive student experience while ensuring theefficient delivery of Academic Operations and Student Affairs services acrossthe university.
