Job summary

NAB India seeks a Senior Enterprise Security Architect to embed architecture early in the delivery chain, shaping business outcomes and ensuring alignment with technology strategy. The role demands deep expertise in security architecture and governance within a complex enterprise.

You will own domain roadmaps, work with domain stakeholders and product owners to prioritise delivery, and maintain artefacts and CMDB data to preserve architectural intent across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 20+ years experience in technology or security roles, with focus on architecture and delivery.
• Experience producing domain or capability roadmaps informing investment prioritisation.
• Experience acting as architectural SME on projects, shaping solution direction and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience working with domain leadership and product owners to prioritise and sequence delivery.
• Experience providing architectural oversight across concurrent projects and governance of tech debt.
• Experience in structured delivery cycles—embedded with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Experience in Australian financial services or similarly regulated industries preferred.

Role

NAB's Domain Delivery Cycle requires architecture to be embedded early in the delivery chain — shaping and assessing the pipeline of Business Outcomes and Epics, preventing ill-formed work from entering the backlog, and ensuring solutions align with technology strategy and patterns.

Essential capabilities

• Produce and maintain the Domain Roadmap, defining transition states and sequencing to realise target state.
• Work with domain stakeholders and Product Owners to prioritise the delivery slate based on risk, cost, and strategic alignment.
• Function as the recognised SME on projects within the domain — providing technical authority and influencing project and domain stakeholders, documenting and approving solution architectures.
• Engage impacted Lead Domain Architects for cross-domain solutions.
• Work with delivery teams and Epic Solution Engineers to preserve architectural intent through build and deployment.
• Support the Enterprise Security Architect with delivery-informed input into target state evolution.
• Maintain domain artefacts — policies, NFRs, patterns, processes, and enterprise security architecture.
• Maintain domain assets and architecture information in CMDB.

Experience

• 20+ years experience in technology or security roles, with a significant portion in solution architecture, technical delivery, or hands‑on security engineering within the relevant domain.
• Demonstrated experience producing domain or capability roadmaps that informed investment prioritisation and delivery sequencing within a large, complex enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience functioning as an architectural SME on projects — providing technical authority, shaping solution direction, and influencing project stakeholders to adopt sound architectural approaches.
• Demonstrated experience working with domain leadership and product owners to prioritise and sequence the delivery slate, balancing competing demands across risk, cost, and strategic alignment.
• Experience providing architectural oversight across concurrent projects, including solution endorsement, options assessment, and tech debt governance.
• Experience working within structured delivery cycles — embedded alongside product owners, delivery teams, and engineering in an agile environment.
• Experience in Australian financial services or similarly regulated industries preferred.
