• Experience hiring, coaching, and performance development of engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable experience with real-time communications (WebRTC).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Job Function Description:

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Cyara, you will lead a high‑performing engineering team responsible for delivering innovative, cloud‑native software powering mission‑critical customer engagement solutions. Working with globally distributed Product, Architecture, Customer Success, and Engineering teams, you will provide technical leadership, partner closely with engineers on architecture and design decisions, and translate business priorities into technical execution while fostering a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and customer focus. You will play a pivotal role in developing your team, driving technical quality, and delivering software that creates meaningful customer impact.

This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with hands‑on technical involvement and remains closely engaged in the team's architectural and engineering decisions.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing hands‑on technical leadership through architecture reviews, design discussions, technical mentoring, and active participation in solving complex engineering challenges.
• Leading, mentoring, and growing a high‑performing engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Delivering high‑quality software by driving execution, technical excellence, and predictable delivery across the software development lifecycle.
• Partnering with globally distributed Product Management, Architecture, Customer Success, Cloud Operations, and Engineering teams to align priorities and deliver customer value.
• Recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional engineering talent while supporting career growth and building an inclusive team culture.

Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3-5 years leading high‑performing engineering teams.
• Proven success delivering complex SaaS or cloud‑native software products in Agile environments.
• Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, cloud‑native architectures, and modern software engineering practices, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to architecture, design, and technical decision‑making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineers, influence technical direction, and partner effectively with globally distributed cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience building engineering teams through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with real‑time communications, networking, or WebRTC technologies is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
