Job Description
As an Engineering Leader (Salesforce), you'll own the end-to-end success of your product lines, help define, implement, manage and deliver systems that help accomplish its goals. You will manage design through deployment phases of a scalable, high-performance, multi-tenant platform and interact with other engineering teams to leverage expertise and contribute back to the open source tech community.
What you’ll do
- Provide technical leadership to major SFDC initiatives, review platform architecture and work with engineers to drive business value.
- Ensure great chemistry among product, engineering, and business, and build synergies between business and engineering.
- Build and manage high-performance teams of engineers, driving the team to achieve and exceed identified goals.
- Guide and mentor the team members, acting as a coach and focusing on growth plans.
- Encourage and reward bottom-up innovation, catalyzing and creating space for people to innovate.
- Lead functional and technical workshops, demonstrating leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying.
- Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
- Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution proactively and commit to seeing an issue through to completion.
- Document As-Is business processes, business requirements, and solution designs for the Salesforce platform.
- Own the team's output and deliverables in terms of timelines and quality.
- Create a culture of high ownership and responsiveness for production support.
What do you need to succeed
- B.Tech/B.E./Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- 20+ years relevant work experience in software engineering and 5+ years managing mid-large teams.
- Extensive experience working on SFDC, including 10+ years on the Salesforce platform and 6+ years in Service Cloud; Marketing Cloud experience is a plus.
- Good experience with Salesforce/Apex, Triggers, Lightning Flows, Lightning LWC, and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components) and mobile technologies.
- Familiarity with SOAP/REST APIs and Microservices ecosystem.
- Salesforce Developer and/or Advanced Developer certification preferred.
- Comfortable with Agile development and Scrum process.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation.
- Highly effective at working in cross-functional, cross-geographical organizations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse cultures, and adapt to uncertainty and change.
