Job summary

Vecmocon Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Noida seeks a hands-on Senior Engineer – Testing & Validation to drive validation across BMS, EV Chargers, and IoT/VIM.

You will develop validation plans, oversee hardware and firmware testing, perform RCA, and coordinate with hardware, firmware, software and product engineering to raise product quality, safety, and reliability in our EV solutions. You will document results and contribute to continuous testing improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in testing and validation of BMS, EV Chargers, IoT devices, or embedded electronic products.
• Strong understanding of electronics, electrical systems, embedded hardware, and firmware interactions.
• Practical experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads.
• Familiarity with CAN, UART, RS485, and I2C communication protocols; CAN tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and validation strategies for BMS, EV Chargers, and IoT/VIM products.
• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and system-level testing under defined operating conditions.
• Validate BMS functionalities, including battery parameter monitoring, protection mechanisms, and communication interfaces.
• Test EV chargers for charging performance, electrical safety, fault handling, and communication with connected systems.
• Validate IoT/VIM functionalities, including vehicle data acquisition, connectivity, protocols, and data transmission.
• Conduct hardware and firmware integration testing using test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document product failures; perform structured RCA and track corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, validation reports, test logs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, quality, and production teams to resolve defects and improve product performance.
• Support product validation against specifications, customer requirements, and relevant standards, including AIS-156 where applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, test coverage, automation, and reliability.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Engineer – Testing & Validation to drive product testing, validation, and reliability across our three key product lines: BMS, EV Chargers, and IoT/VIM.

The role involves developing and executing validation plans, troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and collaborating with hardware, firmware, software, and product engineering teams to ensure product quality, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and validation strategies for BMS, EV Chargers, and IoT/VIM products.
• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and system-level testing under defined operating conditions.
• Validate BMS functionalities, including battery parameter monitoring, protection mechanisms, and communication interfaces.
• Test EV chargers for charging performance, electrical safety, fault handling, and communication with connected systems.
• Validate IoT/VIM functionalities, including vehicle data acquisition, connectivity, communication protocols, and data transmission.
• Conduct hardware and firmware integration testing using appropriate test equipment, diagnostic tools, and data acquisition systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document product failures; perform structured RCA and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, validation reports, test logs, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, quality, and production teams to resolve defects and improve product performance.
• Support product validation against applicable specifications, customer requirements, and relevant standards, including AIS-156 wherever applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, test coverage, automation, and product reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in testing and validation of BMS, EV Chargers, IoT devices, or embedded electronic products.
• Strong understanding of electronics, electrical systems, embedded hardware, and firmware interactions.
• Practical experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and other laboratory test equipment.
• Understanding of communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485, and I2C; experience with CAN tools is preferred.
• Experience in functional testing, system integration, fault diagnosis, debugging, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to develop DVPs, execute test cases, analyze test data, and prepare technical reports.
• Familiarity with EV systems, battery technologies, charging systems, or automotive electronics.
• Good analytical, documentation, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
