Job description

Responsibilities

• Definition of system requirements and system interface specifications for vehicle control.
• Design and implement software components in alignment with the guidelines for safety‑relevant software systems.
• Designing control functions based on functional block diagrams.
• Generating software test specifications, conducting code reviews and supporting design verification.
• Support integration tests and validation tests.
• Analyse diagnostic information, fix bugs and define new control logic to improve vehicle performance.
• Capable of building TCMS concepts for locomotives/trains at vehicle level.
• Implement upgrades or new work of application software with end‑to‑end responsibility following the V‑model approach in accordance with EN 50657 standards.
• Work independently on multiple TCMS subsystems and create logic block diagrams for them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, electronic or computer science with 3‑6 years of relevant rolling stock experience.
• Domain knowledge of rail.
• Experience with MVB, WTB and Ethernet communication protocols; knowledge of TRDP is an advantage.
• Strong understanding and proven experience with requirement engineering.
• Good understanding of standards such as IEC 50128, IEC 61131, IEC 61375.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong teamwork abilities.
