Job summary

Quest Global is hiring in Bengaluru, India for a role focused on defining system requirements and specifications for vehicle control. The candidate will design and implement software components for safety-relevant software systems, conduct code reviews, and lead a team of engineers.

The ideal applicant will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, electronic, or computer science and possess 6-9 years of experience in rolling stock, with strong domain knowledge and leadership ability.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of relevant rolling stock experience.
• Domain knowledge of locomotive/train control.
• Experience with requirement engineering and knowledge of standards IEC 50128, IEC 61131, IEC 61375.

Job description

Job Requirements

• Definition of system requirements and system interface specifications for vehicle control.
• Design and implement software components in alignment with guidelines for safety-relevant software systems.
• Designing control functions based on functional block diagrams.
• Generating software test specifications, conducting code review and supporting design verification.
• Supporting integration tests and validation tests.
• Analyzing diagnostic information, bug fixing and defining new control logic to improve vehicle performance.
• Capable of building TCMS concepts for locomotive/trains on vehicle level.
• Implementing upgradation / new work of application software with end-to-end responsibility following the V-model approach in accordance with EN 50657 standards.
• Conducting training sessions for customer and service colleagues.
• Acting as a problem solver, ensuring application of correct standards.
• Working independently on several TCMS subsystems and creating logic block diagrams for them.

Work Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, electronic or computer science with 6-9 years of relevant rolling stock experience.
• Domain knowledge of locomotive / train control.
• Experience working for local and global projects.
• Experience leading a team of TCMS development engineers.
• Experience with MVB, WTB, Ethernet communication protocols. Knowledge of TRDP is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding and proven experience with requirement engineering.
• Good understanding of standards such as IEC 50128, IEC 61131, IEC 61375 etc.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong teamwork ability and ability to guide peers to achieve required results.
