Job summary

GCC India is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead and contribute to platform modernization initiatives. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to transform our existing systems and infrastructure into modern, scalable platforms.

The position requires 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on platform development, cloud-native architectures, and API-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience with a focus on platform development and modernization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Expertise in designing and implementing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or C#.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases and data migration strategies.
• Expertise in Kong, Kafka, AWS.
• Familiarity with Tibco EMS and DataPower.
• Experience with AI-driven migrations and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of platform modernization projects focusing on cloud-native solutions and microservices.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Analyze existing systems to identify modernization opportunities and propose strategic roadmaps.
• Develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure software applications using modern languages and frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide the team to adopt best practices and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex platform modernization projects, focusing on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and API-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering groups, to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems, identify modernization opportunities, and propose strategic technical roadmaps.
• Develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Expertise in Kong, Kafka, AWS.
• Should have understanding about Tibco EMS and Data power
• Proficient with AI to drive migrations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
