Jobgether is partnering with a client in India to hire a Lead Engineer, Cloud and Platform Engineering. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud platform solutions across Azure, AWS, and other approved clouds. The role emphasizes self-service portals, APIs, automation, and strong DevSecOps practices.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive platform reliability, and influence enterprise cloud strategy while delivering scalable platform services and developer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 5–8 years of experience in building scalable full‑stack and enterprise software.
• Strong frontend and backend development capabilities with modern frameworks.
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, and databases in cloud environments.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Engineer, Cloud and Platform Engineering based in India.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud platform solutions that accelerate cloud adoption and improve engineering productivity. In this role, you will lead the development of full-stack applications, self-service cloud portals, APIs, and automated workflows across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other approved cloud environments. You will collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and global technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable platform capabilities. Your work will help application and product teams provision and manage cloud environments efficiently through standardized tools and automation. You will also drive engineering excellence through modern software development, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise cloud strategy while building innovative developer experiences and scalable platform services.

Accountabilities:

• Full-Stack Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud platform applications, including responsive self-service portals, backend services, and developer-facing tools that simplify cloud infrastructure management.
• API and Backend Engineering: Build scalable REST APIs, microservices, data models, and automated workflows supporting cloud onboarding, provisioning, access management, and resource decommissioning.
• Cloud Platform Integration: Integrate cloud environments with enterprise systems and services, including CI/CD pipelines, identity and access management, IT Service Management (ITSM), governance policies, observability, and cloud cost-management solutions.
• Infrastructure as Code and Automation: Leverage Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to automate cloud provisioning, develop reusable infrastructure modules, enforce governance standards, and streamline operational workflows.
• Cloud Architecture and Engineering: Develop secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-native applications across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other approved cloud platforms, following modern architecture principles and enterprise engineering standards.
• Developer Experience and Self-Service Capabilities: Build reusable services, templates, automation tools, and developer resources that accelerate cloud adoption, improve user experience, and reduce manual operational effort.
• DevSecOps and Engineering Excellence: Establish and promote best practices for code reviews, automated testing, secure coding, source control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Security and Governance: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, integrate security automation, and ensure platform solutions comply with enterprise security and governance requirements.
• Monitoring and Platform Reliability: Improve platform reliability and operational visibility through monitoring, logging, telemetry, troubleshooting, and proactive incident resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity professionals, Cloud Operations, and global stakeholders to gather requirements, manage technical dependencies, and deliver strategic platform initiatives.
• Performance and Continuous Improvement: Monitor platform performance and adoption, gather user feedback, analyze operational data, and introduce improvements that enhance developer productivity, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Technical Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to engineering standards, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen platform capabilities and support consistent delivery across teams.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of professional experience developing and delivering scalable full-stack applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a formal degree.
• Strong expertise in modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proficiency in backend development using Node.js, .NET, Java, or Python.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, source control, code reviews, secure coding practices, and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications, including authentication, authorization, monitoring, and observability.
• Strong practical knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including reusable module development, automated provisioning pipelines, infrastructure governance, and deployment automation.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud services, including cloud architecture, networking, identity management, and security.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, Kubernetes, serverless computing, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of modern software architecture principles, distributed systems, application scalability, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to develop self-service platforms, developer portals, and reusable cloud solutions that improve engineering efficiency and operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and deliver reliable solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
