Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Software Developer for its ADPS platform, based in Pune, India. You will join a multidisciplinary team to design and develop software for analysis and modeling of electricity networks and renewables.

Ideal candidates have strong C#, .NET, and Azure Cloud expertise, with leadership, problem-solving skills, and a drive for engineering excellence across the lifecycle. Role emphasizes SCRUM and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with modern C# programming.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical specifications and engineering requirements for the ADPS platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, testable, reusable, and reliable code using modern .NET and C#.
• Review pull requests and advocate for software development best practices.
• Develop and execute unit tests.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to support automated testing.
• Take part in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies.
• Assess emerging technologies and development tools including AI-driven productivity solutions.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps pipelines to support CI/CD.
• Contribute to evaluation and adoption of tools and technologies that enhance performance.
• Maintain strong security and compliance practices throughout development and deployment.

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is seeking a Senior Software Developer for its Advanced Distribution Planning System (ADPS) platform, based in Pune, India. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the Senior Software Developer will participate in the design and development of the software platform of the next generation of Eaton’s Advanced Distribution Planning System in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energies.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Development Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Azure Cloud to design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical leadership, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/ Engineering from accredited institution

Desired: Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics & Telecomm Engineering from accredited institution

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in modern C# programming.

Skills

Required:

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud technologies.
• Significant hands on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud and microservices architectures.
• Experience in Agile software development.

Preferred:

• Experience with SQL, LINQ, and databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, or other RDBMS).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with Entity Framework.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus, Kafka).
• Some experience with CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Azure Devops).
