Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with full stack delivery.
• Proficient in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST, and microservices.
• Front-end development with ReactJS/Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Extensive AWS usage: ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, IAM.
• Containerisation with Docker, Kubernetes; Helm experience.
• CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions/Jenkins or equivalent.
• Terraform or IaC knowledge; Git/GitHub, SonarQube, testing frameworks.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; Kafka or event-driven messaging.
• Secure coding, DevSecOps, enterprise standards; Agile methodology.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role within the Customer Lifecycle Management Crew, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of strategic technology solutions that support critical customer journeys. You will work closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders across teams and geographies to build modern, cloud-native applications, enhance platform capabilities, and drive technology transformation initiatives.

You will contribute to uplifting engineering standards, modernising legacy systems, and accelerating the adoption of cloud, DevOps, and automation practices while delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that create meaningful business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development & Technical Delivery

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern front-end technologies. Build scalable, resilient, and secure solutions using microservices and API-first architectures.

Cloud Engineering & Platform Modernisation

Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging modern containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Contribute to cloud migration and platform modernisation initiatives.

Engineering Excellence & DevOps Practices

Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure automation, observability, and monitoring capabilities. Drive best practices across security, code quality, performance, and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery

Partner with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-impact outcomes.

Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering productivity, platform reliability, and development practices.

Essential Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in full stack application development.
• Extensive experience in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience developing responsive user interfaces using ReactJS, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerisation and orchestration.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code practices, preferably Terraform.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, SonarQube, automated testing frameworks, observability, and monitoring tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, DevSecOps principles, and enterprise engineering standards.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale technology projects in Agile environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering productivity practices.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud transformation or application modernisation programs is highly desirable.
