Job summary

WSP in India seeks a Senior Engineer Pavement to join the Civil Team. You will plan and manage delivery of pavement projects, ensuring design adequacy and compliance with standards.

The role requires leading teams, managing resources, time, cost and quality, with experience in heavy-duty and concrete/flexible pavement design. The candidate should have 7+ years in pavement design and AASHTO/DMRB methods, and demonstrate knowledge of UK/International pavement engineering and maintenance

Qualifications

• 7 years of professional experience in Pavement design and evaluation techniques.
• At least 3 years of experience in Pavement design using AASHTO/DMRB methods.
• Experience leading pavement design projects and teams.
• Experience with heavy-duty pavements (port and airfield) and both concrete and flexible pavement design.
• Knowledge of UK/International pavement engineering demonstrated by experience in design and investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; chartered status with UK Engineering Council preferred.

Responsibilities

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Senior Engineer Pavement to join the UK GCC CIVIL Team. The Civil team is working alongside with our UK discipline. We are looking for rounded individuals responsible for planning and managing the delivery of projects, including the adequacy of design, compliance with standards and legislation, resource time, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• 7 years of professional experience in Pavement design and Pavement evaluation techniques
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Pavement design using AASHTO/DMRB methods
• Ability to design and lead Road Pavement design projects
• Working knowledge of Heavy duty pavements (Port and Airfield)
• Working knowledge of concrete pavement and flexible pavement design
• Knowledge of UK/International pavement engineering demonstrated by the experience of pavement design and investigation
• Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation
• Knowledge of materials behaviour underlying standard specifications
• Knowledge of roads operation, maintenance and renewal practices
• Ability to understand the scope and limits of responsibility between various engineering disciplines and project support groups
• Experienced in leading teams and people management
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Chartered member or close to achieve the chartership status with the UK Engineering Council through a recognised professional institution (ICE or CIHT)
