Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work on engineering assembly models in SolidWorks and assign part numbers in Agile PLM and rename files accordingly in Enterprise PDM
• Create fabrication drawings for SolidWorks models that meet company and industry drawing standards
• Create manufacturer part numbers for OEM parts
• Create bill of materials in Agile
• Create change notices in Agile to revise or release new items and bill of materials
• Support engineering with assigned design tasks
• Work closely with other functional teams like Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, to develop the sheet metal to fit all components compactly and meet functional requirements
• Create effective documentation, like top level structure, assembly drawings, product drawings, fabrication files etc.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience
• 3+ years minimum experience in sheet metal design and process knowledge
• Proficient in CAD/CAM packages such as SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Proficient in use of PDM tools (Agile, EPDM) and documentation process
• Proficiency in sheet metal process and press tools, jigs & fixtures is desirable
• Adequate communication skills to interact effectively with key stakeholders
• Good knowledge of mechanical tests such as vibration test and drop tests
