Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited in Bengaluru seeks a hands-on manufacturing leader to oversee high-tonnage injection moulding operations, ensuring smooth production, quality, and on-time deliveries. You will set processes, troubleshoot, and drive OEE improvements while coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Planning teams.

The role emphasizes Kaizen, TPM/TQM, 5S, SMED, and workforce management to optimize productivity and cost efficiency on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage high-tonnage Injection Moulding Machines (1500T to 2500T) and ensure smooth production operations.
• Perform injection moulding process setting and troubleshooting to achieve required quality and productivity levels.
• Monitor production performance against the production plan and ensure timely customer deliveries.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards and minimizing defects.
• Drive rejection reduction initiatives and meet quality objectives.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through optimum machine utilization and process improvements.
• Control and monitor departmental inventory, including raw materials and consumables.
• Implement productivity improvement projects through cycle time reduction and material optimization.
• Train machine operators on SOPs, safety practices, quality requirements, and process parameters.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities related to consumables, scrap generation, and rework.
• Lead workforce management activities, including employee engagement, manpower utilization, and performance improvement.
• Promote and implement Kaizen, Quality Circle (QCC), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and TQM (Total Quality Management) activities on the shop floor.
• Ensure effective implementation of 5S and synchronized material flow across production areas.
• Lead SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) projects to minimize mould changeover time.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Planning teams to achieve production objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
