Job summary

WSP India is looking for a Senior Engineer – Mining/Rock Mechanics to join the UK GCC Mining team from our Bengaluru/Delhi offices. A Civil Engineering or Geology background with a postgraduate in Geotechnical Engineering/Rock Mechanics is preferred, with interest in carbon reduction in design.

The role supports diverse open pit and underground mining projects and related infrastructure and geoenergy developments in the UK and beyond, working with leading specialists in WSP's global network.

Qualifications

• Background in Civil Engineering or Geology with postgraduate study in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics.
• Exposure to reducing embodied carbon in design is a plus.
• Experience related to mining or ground engineering is beneficial.

Job description

As a Senior Engineer – Mining/Rock Mechanics, you will be part of the UK GCC Mining team in WSP India and operate out of our Bengaluru/Delhi office. The ideal candidate for this critical role would be from a Civil Engineering/Geology background with a postgraduation in Geotechnical Engineering/Rock Mechanics. Studies relating to the reduction in embodied carbon in design would be highly regarded.

The role will support a diverse portfolio of open pit and underground mining projects, while also contributing to major infrastructure and geoenergy developmentsin the UK and internationally.
