Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Senior-Level Mechanical Engineer to contribute to power generation project deliverables for US-based clients. You will lead mechanical design activities, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with global teams across offices in India and beyond.

The role requires 7+ years in industrial facility design, PE registration, and proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D or CADWorx, Caesar II/AutoPipe, Thermoflow, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; 7+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineering registration in at least one US State.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of SmartPlant 3D or CADWorx.
• Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe.
• Experience using Thermoflow.
• Strong command of English with good written and oral communication skills.

To act in a Senior-Level Mechanical Engineer capacity in producing WSP engineering related project deliverables involved in Power Generation projects in the US.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities
• Professional Engineering registration in at least one US State
• Working knowledge of Microstation or Auto CAD
• Working knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx
• Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe
• Experience using Thermoflow
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Power plant design experience
• Renewable natural gas plant design experience
