Job summary

Fireplans Design & Drafting Solutions seeks a Senior Engineer/Manager to lead Fire Protection Design projects and manage the design team. You will prepare and review fire alarm layouts, loop diagrams, riser diagrams, and calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and authorities.

The role requires expertise in Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Plumbing (PHE) and Special Hazard systems, with strong leadership and client-handling skills to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IS Codes and NFPA standards.
• Experience with Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Plumbing (PHE) and Special Hazard systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Fire Protection Design projects and the design team.
• Prepare/review fire alarm layouts, loop diagrams, riser diagrams, hydraulic calculations and related drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and authorities; mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Job description

Job Description / Responsibilities

Lead and manage Fire Protection Design projects and the design team. Prepare/review Fire Alarm layouts, loop diagrams, riser diagrams, battery calculations, voltage drop, cause & effect matrix, sequence of operation and authority submission drawings. Design/review Addressable & Conventional Fire Alarm, Hydrant, Wet Riser, Fire Pump Room, Sprinkler, VESDA, Voice Evacuation, Clean Agent, CO, Dry Chemical, AOR and other Special Hazard systems. Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, water demand, pump head/selection, pressure zoning and tank sizing. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants and authorities; mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes and NFPA standards.

Desired profile of the candidate

• Experienced and dynamic Senior Engineer / Manager with strong knowledge of relevant IS Codes and NFPA standards and practical expertise in Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Plumbing (PHE) and Special Hazard systems.
• Should possess leadership, project management, client handling, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• International project experience is an added advantage.
