Job summary

Ericsson seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to deliver end-to-end IP backbone solutions for Telecom/ISP networks. You will design, deploy and troubleshoot IP networks, including MPLS/VPNs, while maintaining SLA targets and KPIs.

Expertise with OSPF, BGP and segment routing is required, along with CCNP/JNCIP certifications. The role demands strong communication and collaboration with global stakeholders, and readiness for night shifts as part of a 24/7 operation across regions.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years industry experience in IP networks / MPBN backbone on Telecom/ISP networks.
• Hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, QoS.
• Experience configuring Cisco/Juniper IP networks and devices.
• CCNP or JNCIP certification is required.
• Willingness to work rotational night shifts.
• Experience with segment routing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day project delivery for MA with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Analyze & troubleshoot network issues; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot IP networks; RCA and workarounds.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure SLA targets are met.
• Support field tests for new features or hardware.

The role is focused on executing design, audit and optimization services, where the network engineer is responsible for part of the solution and part of the service process. The Network Engineer is responsible to upkeep time, performance and quality according to Ericsson requirements and Customer contract.What you will do:Accountable for day-to-day delivery of the assigned project towards the MA.Customer facing roleAnalyzing & troubleshooting different network related issuesInteract with internal and external stakeholders for delivery executionExcellent communication skillsTroubleshoots network problems and implements corrective actionResponsible for IP Networks Design, Deployment/configuration, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and workaround / solution definition activities for the assigned project.Analysis of KPIs, ensure all project KPI(s) are met as per agreed targets/SLA’s.Optimization of MPBN and ISP networks.Support for field tests as required for new features and/or HW.The skills you bring:5-7 years industry experience with excellent exposure on Design, Planning, Deployment & Troubleshooting in IP networks / MPBN Backbone on Telecom / ISP based networks.Extensive hands-on experience on IP routing protocols / technologies L2/L3 IP/MPLS VPNs, VPLS & EVPN, IGPs (All) on Cisco & Juniper routers.Excellent understanding & experience on Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP, IS- IS, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, QoS (Quality of Service) in IP networks.Good hands-on experience in Configuration of IP Networks (Routing/Switching) – Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson Network / Security Devices.Good hands-on experience in Troubleshooting of IP Networks – Network related issues.Should have hands-on experience with Cisco, Ericsson & Juniper IP products.Prepares High-level design / Low-level design (HLD/LLD) independently.IP Professional Certifications (CCNP / Cisco Encore) on Cisco/ Juniper (JNCIP) is required.Good understanding of Segment routing.Strong Technical and Communications skills with excellent conceptual knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Open to work for a Global operator with rotational night shifts.Subject matter expertise on operator network and understanding.Successful track record and strong background in large-scale network operational organizations.Excellent customer handling skills.Ability to learn the working of new nodes which are added in the network.Experience on automation & scripting would be a plus.Ability to guide and support other engineersProfessional IP Certification.
