Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks an experienced Verification & Validation (V&V) Expert to lead validation across its LV connected products. You will drive robust verification, security testing, AI-assisted validation, and MBT approaches while shaping CI/CD aligned test platforms and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Firmware, Software, Product Management, Quality, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure top-quality, secure, and compliant products through automated test frameworks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Verification & Validation, Test Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Validation, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience testing industrial, embedded, connected, or IoT-enabled products.
  • Strong experience in test strategy development, planning, execution, automation, and quality assurance.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and collaborating with global cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive V&V strategies, standards, methodologies, and best practices for Connected Products.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, system, performance, reliability, qualification, and cybersecurity validation.
  • Lead end-to-end verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and validation solutions.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and techniques to improve test case generation, defect prediction, test coverage, and validation efficiency.
  • Lead the adoption of Model-Based Testing (MBT) to improve requirement traceability, test coverage, and early defect detection.
  • Define, develop, and deploy Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) validation environments for embedded and connected products.
  • Develop simulation-based validation strategies to verify system functionality, control algorithms, communication interfaces, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Integrate automated testing, HIL/SIL platforms, and model-based validation approaches into Agile, CI/CD, and DevSecOps workflows.
  • Validate cybersecurity requirements including authentication, authorization, encryption, secure communication, secure boot, firmware integrity, and access control mechanisms.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, security readiness reviews, and support pre-penetration testing activities.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to define security test strategies and ensure compliance with IEC 62443 and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of product quality and cybersecurity issues.
  • Manage and continuously improve test infrastructure, including automated test benches, simulation environments, HIL/SIL platforms, and laboratory facilities.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to enhance product quality, reliability, security, and testability.
  • Mentor engineers and support teams in adopting best practices in testing, automation, AI-assisted validation, cybersecurity, and model-based verification.

Role Overview

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Verification & Validation (V&V) Expert to lead validation activities for its Low Voltage (LV) Connected Products portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, reliability, safety, cybersecurity, and compliance through robust verification and validation processes, advanced test automation, AI-enabled testing, model-based validation approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across product validation, cybersecurity testing, automation frameworks, HIL/SIL environments, and test infrastructure while working closely with Systems, Hardware, Firmware, Software, Product Management, Quality, and Cybersecurity teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive V&V strategies, standards, methodologies, and best practices for Connected Products.
